Participation of ASTEL JSC in the information security forum SOC-FORUM 2019.

ASTEL took part in the information security forum SOC-FORUM 2019. In April, Nur-Sultan hosted one of the largest information security events in the Republic of Kazakhstan - SOC-Forum 2019 “Practice of countering computer attacks and building information security monitoring centers”. ASTEL took an active part in the forum and got acquainted with the latest solutions presented in the Kazakhstan and world markets. The forum program included three thematic areas: “SOC functioning. Detection-Response-Investigation ”,“ SOC Technologies ”and“ SOC Building Experience. People and Processes ".

At the plenary session, Ruslan Abdikalikov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Information Security of the Ministry of Digital Development, Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted the extremely important role of the operational information security centers (OCIB) in the functioning of state and corporate information resources of Kazakhstan. practical reports were devoted to the industry specifics of SOCs: personnel and processes, detection, response and investigation of information security incidents. The second session, in which a detailed overview “Viruses in Kazakhstan. Steal everything you can! ”Presented by Oleg Bil, head of the Malicious Code Research Laboratory of the State Technical Service RSE of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The demonstration zone was also of great interest to our company, at the stands of which were presented the latest products and solutions of Kazakhstani and international companies for detecting incidents and monitoring computer attacks. Our company always keeps its finger on the pulse and studies the latest technologies in ensuring information security.
