Karaganda Zharyk. Automated metering system for the transmission and distribution of electricity

The collaboration between ASTEL and Karaganda Zharyk lasts since 2005. Back in that time Karaganda Zharyk had a need in automated metering system for the transmission and distribution of electricity (AMSTDE) for accurately and promptly determining the amounts of electrical energy generated by power plants, transmitted through electrical networks and supplied to consumers, as well as for tracking electricity losses during its transmission and distribution. Implementing this project ASTEL has built a data transmission and telephony network for remote objects.

Since 2007 we carried out several large-scale technical upgrades, which in 2013 allowed Karaganda Zharyk to fully introduce AMSTDE on its electrical networks with a voltage of 110 kV, 35 kV, 10-6 - 0.4 kV. We used modern FaraWay and SkyEdge satellite technologies for implementing this project. As a result, the client received a reliable telephone network and data transmission network for working with telemetry. Since the client operates 24/7, ASTEL provides it with a round-the-clock support to quickly resolve all issues.
